Meelad I.H. Al-Jazairi, MD

Meelad Al-Jazairi received his Doctor of Medicine degree in 2005 at the University of Basrah, Iraq. In 2013 he received a Doctor of Medicine degree from the VU university in Amsterdam. He was involved in research since 2006 and in 2015 he started his PhD fellowship at the Department of Cardiology. He focuses on the interventional treatment of atrial fibrillation. His research topics include to study outcomes of specific atrial fibrillation ablation procedures, such as cryoablation and hybrid atrial fibrillation ablation, and also to better identify patients whom respond best to these interventional atrial fibrillation therapies. He is study coordinator of the AXAFA study.
